Girls Finish with a Win, While Boys get Second Win

While we set off with a goal of a .500 record for the 2012 season, a 2-7 finish may seem like a major disappointment, especially considering that we know that three more wins was possible.  As a coaching staff we step back and take a look at the big picture and we know that we will only get better and better each year.  We would like to thank the seniors for their help in "sticking it out" when the losses mounted.  Congratulation to our top point scorers - Sophomore Daryl Hardee for the Boys and Senior Shawnda Williams for the Girls, who both topped last years top scorers.  Shawnda finished a great regular season by becoming the first athlete to reach 100 total point in the last two years.  Amanda Kleinmann broker her own school record by vaulting 9-8 in the meet yesterday.  Still, we look forward to showing the county some of the young talent this weekend at the Freshmen/Sophomore Meets and giving our upperclassmen a chance for individual accolades - let's finish strong.
