Congratulations to Amanda Kleinmann

Congratulations to Amanda Kleinmann on breaking the Hamilton High School West girl's pole vaulting record with a vault of 9 feet and 6 inches.  Amanda cleared the height on her final jump at the Group 3 State Championship Meet in South Plainsfield on Saturday breaking the old mark of 9 feet and 3 inches.  Amanda is a junior this year and has one year left to improve upon her efforts and is sure to do so in the future.

This record was hard earned as Amanda has put in a tremendous amount of work in with her coaches during the season and beyond.  It is a testament to her determination that she was able to improve by two feet from her best jump of her sophomore year and bounce back after breaking her pole in practice last Friday and still placing in Group Three Sectional Championships the following day.  We are all proud of Amanda's efforts as she also is a top notch student and trumpet player and easy to root for.  Good Job.
